Harvard School of
Public health reveals that at least 54% of US population above the age of 18 years take coffee each day. Also, most
of them use around 3.1 cups of coffee every day. Ideally, that is a large
population, at this means at least $40 billion goes on tea annually. Therefore,
it would best to reveal some of the health benefits related to coffee intake.
Might Help Lose Weight
Most of the time, when individuals hear about weight
loss and tea, green tea is the first thing that comes to their mind. But that
should not be the case, since white tea might just be as effective when it
comes to taking tea to lose weight.
This is an important point since both green and
white teas have the same level of caffeine and catechins such as
apigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). This is a compound in green tea, and is
effective in burning excess fat in the body. For example, when a test-tube
study was carried out, it was found that white tea could aid and stimulate fat
breakdown, thereby helping individuals lose weight.
Acne
Treatment
A quick look at the people around you would reveal
that most of them have acne on their faces. Though acne is not a bad problem,
it does not look good and needs to be gotten rid of. A study conducted in
Kingston University in London revealed that white tea features lots of
antioxidant and antiseptic properties.

Dermatologists believe that antioxidants can be a
good solution for acne, which makes them recommend white tea as the best
solution for the skin problem. The antioxidants found in the white tea function
by flushing out the germs in your body, thereby giving you a clear, glossy
skin.
Compounds
That Might Fight Cancer
Today, cancer is one of the deadliest diseases the
world has ever seen. Many test-tube studies have been conducted to find out
whether cancer might have some anticancer effects. In one of the studies, it
was found that an extract of white tea stimulated cell death in many types of
lung cancers.
On the same note, two more tests were carried out
that white tea could help suppress the growth of cells that caused colon cancer
and also stopped them from spreading to other areas. Also, the antioxidants
found in white coffee protected other cells in the body from being attacked and
destroyed by harmful molecules.
Beneficial
in Pregnancy
As already said, white tea has some antioxidants. In
one study carried out in Scotland, it was found and reported that these
antioxidants provided cell protection from escalated oxidative damage that
might happen during pregnancy. But some concerns have been raised about
consuming white tea by expectant mothers.
In white tea, there is caffeine, but in less amounts
compared in other types of tea, except green tea. Therefore, green tea should
be greatly minimized during pregnancy. This must be done since the child,
compared to mother, cannot metabolize caffeine. Too much intake of caffeine
during pregnancy might lead to many cases of birth defects.
Lowers
Risk of Insulin Resistance
Insulin is an essential hormone that everyone needs
in their body. With it, moving nutrients from the bloodstream into the cells
becomes possible. However, due to many factors such as high sugar consumption,
certain individuals might stop responding to insulin. This instance is known as
insulin resistance. Unfortunately, insulin resistance is a common case, and is
mostly linked to a number of chronic infections.
Luckily, studies have revealed that polyphenols that
are available in white tea can reduce the levels of insulin resistance. Also,
some studies have found that EGCG and other compounds in white coffee can
improve the effects of insulin and control high blood sugar levels.
